“Helles” (light-colored) is the everyday beer in Bavaria. Along with wheat beer it is the most important type of beer in south Bavaria, and because the Bavarian makes the greatest demands on his everyday drink, we put our absolute everything into brewing this fine beer. The Ayinger helles brew is a golden-yellow, bottom-fermented beer with a light malt fragrance. It has a full-bodied taste, and its maltiness and good balance add special value to a truly classic beer. It has a well-balanced bitter quality, not too pronounced. Many cross-regional pils beers are becoming more and more like this Bavarian source of pride.
